Sacred-Literature is a Deviantart group that encourages our members to share the passion that they have for literature with one another.
If you like to welcome people into the group, then this position is for you. You will go onto new members profiles and welcome them to Sacred-Literature. Also, if there is a critique requested, you will comment on the piece and say what you thought of it and what the member can improve. People skills are needed for this position.
Our goal is to be more than a place where an artist dumps their work. While I know that we will occasionally have such members join us, the majority of our members should be active.
As a contributor, you will not only fill our galleries, you will interact (and possibly make new friends) with members, and expand our group with literature.
We ask that the majority pieces of the artwork in your gallery be literature. Because we are a group that focuses on literature, this is a pre-requisite.
We ask that you have time to volunteer on a consistent basis.
You must be very, very active. We are looking for members who submit material consistently, who participates in our Book Review Program, and submits to our contests.
We ask that you follow the responsibilities set out in our Contributors' Journal Entry and our Membership Guidelines. If you do not agree with any of the guidelines, please do not apply for a contributor position.
At the moment, we are looking for passionate individuals that love grammar and literature. As the volume of submissions increase, the amount of time that one puts into the group will increase. This is not a part-time position.
You will need to make decisions and vote on contests.
We do not require previous experience with admining a group. At Sacred-Literature, we are more than happy to help you.
The second duty that our contributors accomplish is to participate in our book review program. We take published books and offer our opinion on them. Some of our members are here to share their love of literature, but they do not write. They love to read. We have open this program for them, guiding them like a lighthouse welcoming ships home in rocky waters in the inky night.
One of the most difficult duties that we have in Sacred-Literature is critiquing the pieces that members want critique. Going through the number of submissions that are submitted to our galleries, there is many that ask for critiques and none respond to their requests.
We are looking for people who will be able to critique in a kind manner. We want our members to learn, but we don't want critiques that bash the pieces. By doing this, we point out what we think can be improved sandwiched between good points. Ultimately, it is up to the member to implement our suggestions.
Our contributors help us develop and run our critique system and book review section. Those who apply for this section must be intuitive and able to vote on contests and Writer of the Month, stating a reason why they prefer that person's pieces over another members. We want our contributors to promote our contest and the group and scout for perspective new members who they feel will be a good fit during our Membership Drives.
If you are interested in joining our team, leave a comment on this journal entry and tell us what you can bring to the group. Also, tell us how much time per week you can devote to the group. Remember, it is not up to us to sell ourselves to you. It is you who has to sell yourself to us.
We want individuals who will be a good fit with the admin, who possess a drive to help us grow as a group in both activities and membership. Remember, only active people should apply.
